Paul Mescal’s 21-year-old little sister Nell Mescal released her refreshingly honest debut EP, Can I Miss it for a Minute? in May.

So, just who is Nell Mescal, the rising singer-songwriter who has been in love with music since she was four, and how is the Maynooth, Ireland native reacting to the nepotism comments?
Nell Mescal comes from a creative family

In addition to her brother Paul, who was at one point dubbed the “internet’s boyfriend” after his meteoric success with Normal People, Nell has other creatives in her family too.

While her mother is a policewoman and her father is a teacher, per Vogue, her father also plays guitar and piano – although it wasn’t him who taught her; she learned piano by herself. The father-daughter duo would perform at talent shows though, per Marie Claire, where he would play the guitar and she would sing.
There’s also a video floating around on the internet of Nell singing “Nothing Arrived” by Villagers with Paul.
