Tony’s daughters Antonia and Johanna Bennett have sued their stepbrother, D’Andrea “Danny” Bennett, trustee of their late father’s estate, over his assets, and are seeking “equitable relief”. The sisters have alleged that Danny “obtained personal benefits for himself and his company”, per NY Post. Tony’s other son, Daegal “Dae” Bennett, is also named in the lawsuit alongside Tony’s widow, Susan Benedetto, as an additional respondent.

D’Andrea “Danny” Bennett is Tony’s eldest son with his first wife Patricia Beech. As a young man, the now 70-year-old was in a country rock band named Quacky Duck and His Barnyard Friends with his brother Daegal Bennett and bandmates Curtis Fried, Gordon Javna, Jon Yaffee and David Mansfield. Sadly, the band saw little success. Danny started working as his father’s manager at 25, and founded his own entertainment management company RPM Productions in 1979.

According to The New York Times, it was thanks to Danny that Tony’s career was revived from “financial disaster” and substance abuse. For example, when Tony wanted to appear on MTV, it was Danny who made it happen. For the late singer’s firstborn, however, he didn’t just manage his father’s career – he also managed his legacy, per Billboard. According to Danny, Tony’s last words to him were, “thank you”. “Can’t say it better than that,” Danny added.

2. Dae Bennett, 68
