Kai Schreiber is growing up to be the spitting image of mum Naomi Watts!

As seen in photos shared by the actress last week, the duo were the epitome of mum-and-child goals as they attended the Balenciaga fashion show in Paris, France. The King Kong star stunned in a flattering white ‘fit with black boots and shades, while her 15-year-old opted for a lacy black number and sunglasses. During the event, they reunited with Watts’ BFF Nicole Kidman and her 15-year-old lookalike daughter, Sunday Rose, as reported by Just Jared.

Kai Schreiber was born on December 13, 2008, to Hollywood actors Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber, per People. Kai also has an older sibling, 16-year-old Sasha Schreiber.

Although Kai’s parents never married, they were together for 11 years before calling it quits in 2016, according to the same outlet. “Over the past few months we’ve come to the conclusion that the best way forward for us as a family is to separate as a couple,” they told People at the time. “It is with great love, respect and friendship in our hearts that we look forward to raising our children together and exploring this new phase of our relationship.”

Balenciaga isn’t the first brand that Kai has shown an interest in either.

In April, Watts brought Kai to the Dior pre-autumn show, where they sat in the front row at the Brooklyn Museum in New York. Kai wore a coordinated butterfly-patterned jumper and pleated skirt from the brand.

It seems Kai has expressed an interest in dance, namely ballet, as seen in one Instagram post shared by dad Liev Schreiber.

In late June the Feud actress shared a sweet video on Instagram of Kai performing an impromptu dance with a friend to live music in Paris. According to People, Watts previously posted a video of her and Kai doing a TikTok dance to a remix of the theme song from Nickelodeon’s Max & Ruby.

As per People, the teen graduated from St Luke’s School, a private middle school in New York, in June 2022. “Congratulations to Kai. Class of 2022 #modernfamily #graduation,” Watts wrote in an Instagram caption at the time.

Kai Schreiber has expressed an interest in acting

Besides dance, Schreiber has an apparent knack for acting, like mum and dad. In 2019, Watts talked to Net-a-Porter about her children’s interest in the profession and how they had previously enrolled in a summer camp that specialises in the performance arts. “Hashtag not my childhood,” said Watts. “It seems they’ve got the bug.” The Diana actress nevertheless added that her feelings were “mixed” about them acting.

Kai is part of a blended family. Watts, 55, has been dating The Morning Show actor Billy Crudup since 2017, and the pair tied the knot last year.
