Magnus Ferrell, 20, is currently active as a musician. He got started from a young age; by the time he was 12, he was already reportedly writing his own music. He also revealed on radio show Morning Becomes Eclectic that music is therapeutic to him.

The Elf actor not only attended his son’s band’s first-ever live performance in 2022 to support him – but also joined him on stage with his signature cowbell, which was part of his well-known SNL skit “More Cowbell”, per People. Magnus’ band was performing for a Cancer for College charity event, and Will’s cameo definitely livened up the mood even more. Cancer for College is a charity founded by Will’s college roommate Craig Pollard.

Magnus attends the University of Southern California, which also happens to be the SNL star’s alma mater. The father-son duo went viral again last year when Will showed up to DJ at a Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity tailgate party during Trojan Family Weekend. When Magnus himself encountered teasing comments about his name on TikTok, he replied by agreeing, “It’s diabolical.”
