Billionaire David Winter may have kept a low profile over the years, but his company – which spans manufacturing, property, and solar and roofing technology – certainly isn’t

Now he’s drawing attention after hosting a star-studded wedding in Venice that saw the likes of Sienna Miller, Oli Green and Prince William’s ex Cressida Bonas all in attendance

If you haven’t heard of billionaire David Winter before, then you are forgiven – because it seems he’s preferred to keep his name out of the headlines over the years.

That is until recently. Not only did Winter go all out with his lavish Venice wedding to Georgia Irwin on May 25, but he had an A-list guest list to match. According to British media, celeb pals including Sienna Miller and her beau Oli Green, and Prince Harry’s ex Cressida Bonas all attended the extravagant nuptials.

The event reportedly took place on La Certosa Island in the Venetian Lagoon, with guests arriving by water taxi.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Winter is the co-CEO of Standard Industries, a privately-held conglomerate with a number of businesses spanning industrial manufacturing, real estate, and next-generation solar and roofing technology. Its companies include BMI, GAF Energy, Siplast, Standard Investments and Winter Properties, among others.

In general, Winter has shied away from the public eye – but he did grant an interview to Forbes in 2021 in which he talked about a “top-secret design for a new solar roof” that would be a main competitor to Tesla’s version.
