According to US media, Rory McIlroy and CBS reporter Amanda Balionis have set tongues wagging in the golf community of late, no doubt spurred on by the golfer’s recent divorce announcement

Balionis, who is married to American football coach Bryn Renner, seems to have dropped her husband’s surname on social media, and hasn’t been seen with her wedding band on at recent golf events

Since Northern Irish golfer Rory McIlroy made the surprise announcement on May 13 that he was divorcing his wife Erica Stoll, netizens and US media alike seem convinced it’s because he has a thing going with CBS reporter Amanda Balionis.

According to US media, McIlroy and Balionis have been causing a stir on the PGA Tour and are the “talk of the links” after people noticed the closeness of their relationship.

What’s more, McIlroy has been featured on the sports broadcaster’s Instagram page on more than one occasion in recent weeks.
