The show was the result of Honey Boo Boo’s stand-out appearance on reality show Toddlers & Tiaras, where she landed the famous nickname.
But the show came to a screeching halt in October 2014 at the height of its popularity, when TLC cancelled it following revelations that Mama June was seen with – and allegedly dating – a convicted child predator. Since then, the family have mostly gone their separate ways after a series of scandalous, shocking and sometimes downright heartbreaking events.
So where are Honey Boo Boo’s family members in 2024? Here’s what we know.
1. June Elizabeth “Mama June” Stroud (née Shannon), 44

Here Comes Honey Boo Boo was famously cancelled after Mama June was photographed with Mark Anthony McDaniel, a registered sex offender who served 10 years in prison after being convicted of molesting an eight-year-old. Even worse, she was rumoured to be dating him.
In March 2019, Mama June was arrested, allegedly for possession of crack cocaine and a crack pipe. The reality star was arrested with boyfriend Eugene “Geno” Edward Doak, who was allegedly also found with crack cocaine and a crack pipe, and was additionally charged with domestic violence following an incident between the pair. Mama June later admitted to spending over US$1 million on cocaine.

Honey Boo Boo’s sister Lauryn, aka Pumpkin, successfully filed for custody of Alana in December 2021. The former child star had been living with her older sister since their mum’s arrest in 2019.
Mama June has undergone a drastic image transformation over the years. She documented her extreme weight loss journey on Mama June: From Not to Hot starting in 2017, reportedly spending US$75,000 on surgery and other associated costs. The series was rebranded as Mama June: Road to Redemption and Mama June: Family Crisis following her string of scandals.
