‘Flaunt what you got’: why Sydney Sweeney didn’t get a boob job – the Euphoria star on feeling ‘uncomfortable’ with her body as a teen and wanting to get breast reduction surgery

“When I was in high school, I used to feel uncomfortable about how big my boobs were and I used to say that when I turned 18, I was going to get a boob job to make them smaller,” Sweeney recalled in a new interview with Glamour UK, released on Tuesday. “And my mum told me, ‘Don’t do it. You’ll regret it in college.’”
“Flaunt what you got. Own it. Love them,” she said.
The actor, who stars in the new romcom Anyone but You, said that she’s happy she didn’t follow through with breast reduction surgery.
“I’m so glad I didn’t. I like them. They’re my best friends,” she said. “Everybody’s body is beautiful. When you are confident and you’re happy within is when it really shows to other people.”
Sweeney previously opened up about feeling insecure about her body during an interview with British media published earlier this year, saying, “I had boobs before other girls and I felt ostracised for it.”
In an accompanying video for Glamour UK, the two-time Emmy nominee said that the biggest misconception about her is that she’s “a dumb blonde with big tits”.
“I’m naturally brunette,” she said. “I’m very different than a lot of the characters I play or the versions that you see me on carpets or in interviews because I’m still made up. This is still the work version of me.”
