Is Armie Hammer returning to the spotlight after his fall from grace? The controversial actor posted Buddhist quotes on Instagram while his ex Elizabeth Chambers will appear in a new Hulu reality show
- This week, Hammer posted redemption quotes by American Buddhist nun Pema Chödrön on his Instagram, after reportedly selling time-shares in the Cayman Islands last year – so will he return to Hollywood?
- The Call Me By Your Name star’s ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers also has a new project up her sleeve: she stars in an upcoming ‘docusoap’, Grand Cayman: Secrets in Paradise, alongside Selita Ebanks
But in 2020-2021, as his decade-long marriage crumbled and women came forward claiming abuse at his hands, Hammer’s career nosedived. Now though, a few years later, Hammer has started to emerge from his social media wipeout (hello, Instagram) and speaking publicly about his side of the story.
Here’s everything you need to know about the disgraced actor’s return.
Armie Hammer’s hyped Instagram return
Nearly three years after his marriage to Elizabeth Chambers failed and multiple women came forward to accuse him of violent actions towards them, Hammer, 37, made his Instagram return. On November 1, he shared a video from the inside of a moving train with the song “El Millonario” by Gitkin playing in the background. The video shows a laptop playing a clip of a man running beside a horse.
In another clip, Hammer showed himself working out, writing in the caption: “Been a lot of landmines over the last couple of years … finally found one that works for me #landminepress.”
Most recently, on December 12, he posted quotes by American Buddhist nun Pema Chödrön, whose theories on transformation during hardship are widely followed. The screengrab Hammer posted speaks about redemption: “Things falling a part is a kind of testing and also a kind of healing.”
