10 celebrities who were accused of sexual assault in 2023: from Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and UFC fighter Conor McGregor, to Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler, Jamie Foxx, Jonah Hill and Danny Masterson

- Hollywood isn’t all glitz and glamour – the Me Too movement revealed a string of predators lurking in the industry, and even more women have come forward to accuse stars of sexual crimes
- Guns N’ Roses’ Axl Rose and Russell Brand have denied claims made against them, while Danny Masterson’s conviction landed Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis in hot water for defending his character
A string of high-profile celebrities were recently accused of sexual abuse in the lead-up to Thanksgiving in the US.
The Act, which was brought in a year ago, created a year-long suspension of the usual time limit to sue someone for alleged sexual assault, allowing victims to sue for abuse that took place at any time during their adult life, according to Sky News. However, the law expired on November 23, which may explain the sudden increase in last-minute lawsuits as survivors hurry to come forward with their allegations.
As the Me Too movement showed, there is a dark side to Hollywood. High-profile cases involving powerful figures from disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein to the late Jeffrey Epstein exposed the problematic underbelly of an industry that prides itself on glamour.
Here are 10 celebrities who have been accused of sexual assault in the past year alone.
1. Sean “Diddy” Combs

Earlier this week, the rapper was accused of sexual assault for the second time, just days after settling a different lawsuit that alleged he had raped and abused another woman, per People.
According to court documents obtained by People, Joi Dickerson-Neal has accused Diddy of drugging and raping her when she was a university student in 1991, adding that she was also the victim of “revenge porn”, with Diddy allegedly recording and sharing a tape of the incident. A spokesperson for Combs responded by saying that “Mr Combs never assaulted her, and she implicates companies that did not exist. This is purely a money grab and nothing more.”
2. Jamie Foxx
