King Charles might’ve been crowned the monarch of a nation in September last year, but all eyes were on his hunky equerry Lieutenant Colonel Johnny Thompson, who came to the royal’s rescue when he got flustered about the cluttered desk he was signing his proclamation on – and now, we’re going to see a lot more of this handsome aide.

 

According to British media, the lieutenant has been promoted to King Charles’ senior or “super” equerry, meaning he’s officially landed the coveted role of being the monarch’s right-hand man.

Thompson, who went viral for being “eye candy” at the king’s coronation and has since been sighted numerous times with King Charles and Queen Camilla, was reportedly due to leave the army within 18 months, but has had his secondment extended so that he can fulfil the new role.
He has been photographed with Charles’ son, Prince William, and William’s wife Kate Middleton in recent months.
