After the departure of long-time housewife and fan favourite Nene Leakes, Kandi Burruss assumed the title of the show’s longest-running castmate. Burruss joined the RHOA cast in its second season and has been a central character ever since.
Before joining the franchise, Burruss was mostly known for her award-winning career as a singer, songwriter and producer. In addition to the Atlanta housewife being a member of the American R&B girl group Xscape, she also wrote a number of hit songs, including hits TLC’s No Scrubs and Destiny’s Child’s Bills Bills Bills.
Since joining the show, Burruss has expanded her income-generating horizons with a number of business ventures. From starting an adult lifestyle company to setting up her own record label, the Burruss empire has definitely grown.
