While still at art school, Yura decided to become a singer and set out to pursue this dream, she revealed according to Soompi. She posted photos and videos on Cyworld, a popular social media site in Korea at that time, looking for an agency to represent her.
She quickly became an ulzzang, a Korean term meaning “best face” that’s used to describe the sort of good-looking people scouted online by entertainment agencies.
She got offers from about 60 agencies, including Dream T Entertainment who helped her meet her goal of debuting before she graduated from high school, appearing with Girl’s Day in 2010, per K-pop Behind.
