There is a new dreamboat in town, and he’s related to none other than Luke, Liam and Chris Hemsworth! Melbourne-born actor Luke Van Os is set to follow in his older cousin Chris’ footsteps by joining the long-running Australian soap Home and Away in early 2022.
Van Os shared the exciting news that he will soon make his debut on the hit drama via his Instagram account. Since three Hemsworths have already captivated Hollywood with their Australian charm, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if Van Os does, too.
So, what do we know about him?
He will have his biggest break yet

Though Van Os has been in showbiz since 2016, his new role in Home and Away is poised to catapult him to international fame. That’s because he is walking the same path as his cousin Chris, who got his start as Kim Hyde in Home and Away from 2004 to 2007 before making it to Tinseltown, with his most well-known role possibly being Thor in Marvel’s Avengers franchise.

The 24-year-old actor seems to have already forged a bond with his co-stars. On his Instagram account, he even uploaded snaps of him celebrating his birthday with castmates Courtney Ally, Jacqui Purvis, Matt Evans, Kawakawa Fox-Reo and Nicholas Cartwright.
He is very close with his famous cousins

How exactly is Van Os related to the Hemsworth brothers? Well, his dad, Robert, is brother to their mum, Leonie. In an interview with The Daily Telegraph, the Australian actor gushed about how he can rely on his well-known relatives for wise career advice. In fact, Chris even lent him a hand for his Home and Away audition.
