During today’s age of technology, most of us get dates through social media, dating sites and apps – and Hollywood stars are no different. Instagram and Twitter played e-cupid to some celebrities – with 2016 being a coincidentally loved-up year – and many couples are still happily together or even married.
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas
But how did they meet? Jonas made the first move by sliding into Chopra’s Twitter DMs in 2016. He got the Matrix 4 actress’ number when she requested that he text her for more privacy, according to Vogue. She apparently found Jonas so attractive after seeing him with his shirt off in the music video for his single Closer – which is also her favourite song – that she decided to date him, she revealed to Harper’s Bazaar.
After a few months of texting, they finally met at Vanity Fair’s Oscar party. The Jumanji actor got on one knee and said, “You’re real. Where have you been all my life?”, as per Vogue. Chopra had to catch a flight that night and gave him only five minutes of her time – but that was more than enough for Jonas. In 2018, their three-day lavish wedding was held at a palace in Jodhpur, India, combining both Christian and Hindu wedding traditions.
Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas
Do the Jonas brothers swap dating tips? Like his brother Nick, Joe Jonas once messaged Sophie Turner on Instagram – and three years later, they became husband and wife.
