Cannes Film Festival’s most dazzling red carpet bling: Marion Cotillard, Helen Mirren and Jessica Chastain turned heads in Cartier, Chanel, Bulgari and more

Glamour is back – and with a vengeance.

“The world has entered a Roaring Twenties of post-pandemic indulgence,” announced Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of Vogue.

Heralding this new era is none other than the 74th Cannes Film Festival – Europe’s most glamorous red carpet. Decked out in their finest and adorned with glitter and bling, world-acclaimed actors strutted their stuff, wowing throngs of photographers, cinema enthusiasts and celebrity hounds.

Marion Cotillard

Starring in the musical Annette, which opened the festival, Marion Cotillard was resplendent in a stylish Chanel haute couture gown sparkling with silvery details.

She completed her elegant look with Chanel’s high jewellery collection – the Dazzling beryl and white diamond earrings in yellow gold paired with Chanel’s fine jewellery Lion Sculptural bracelet and ring in gold encrusted with diamonds and quartz.

Diane Kruger

Diane Kruger opted for understated elegance with some exquisite jewels. To offset her custom Armani Privé crystal-embellished gown, she selected pieces from Chaumet’s Les Ciels de Chaumet high jewellery collection, including the Nuages d’Or earrings and ring, and a Soleil Glorieux ring. The ultra-contemporary designs are in white and yellow gold, encrusted with yellow and white diamonds. Kruger attended the Tout S’est Bien Passe (Everything Went Fine) premiere at the festival.

South Korean actor Song Kang-ho dazzled the world with his superb acting in the global sensation Parasite, which swept grand prizes in major international film awards, including Cannes’ Palme d’Or in 2019 and the best picture at the Academy Awards in 2020.

Song was a member of the 74th Cannes Film Festival jury. For the red carpet, Song complemented his classic tuxedo with Chopard’s L.U.C Flying T Twin watch in 18-karat rose gold.

Chinese actress Li Meng made an impressive red carpet appearance with a dramatic poncho necklace from Bulgari’s Cinemagia high jewellery collection. The colourful necklace in pink gold was set with amethyst beads, cabochon rubellite, cabochon tourmaline, turquoise beads and diamonds.

A Cartier brand ambassador and Cannes jury member, Mélanie Laurent walked the red carpet in a custom Armani Privé dress and wore the iconic Tutti-Frutti earrings from Cartier’s latest high jewellery collection.

The distinctive design continues one of the brand’s most renowned heritage lines. The platinum earrings are encrusted with sapphires, emeralds, rubies and diamonds.

Helen Mirren

Widely considered one of the best red carpet looks this year, Oscar-winning actress Helen Mirren was effervescent in her billowing custom Dolce & Gabbana yellow silk chiffon gown. She accessorised her outfit with a coloured gemstone and diamond necklace and a pair of matching earrings from Dolce & Gabbana’s Alta Gioielleria collection.
