Blackpink grabbed worldwide attention in 2020 with their Netflix documentary titled Blackpink: Light Up the Sky, which gave fans an in-depth look at the four group members.
Now it seems the band is ready to jump from the small screen to the big screen in their first feature film.

The band, comprising Jennie, Rosé, Jisoo and Lisa, debuted in August 2016. Since then, the four-piece act has put out a number of hits. Two members – Jennie and Rosé – are already making waves as solo artists, while Lisa and Jisoo are gearing up for their own solo debuts. With so much success under their belts, it was only a matter of time before they set their sights on Hollywood (well, kind of).

It’s official – Blackpink is headed to the big screen!
The K-pop supergroup is set to unveil a film for the big screen, the quartet’s management company YG Entertainment said on Wednesday, June 16.
South African-born Andre joined SCMP STYLE’s Hong Kong office as Senior Digital Content Manager in 2020 after working at some of the world’s biggest media companies in the UAE, Singapore and the UK. When he’s not behind the velvet rope rubbing shoulders with the A-list, you’re likely to find him sampling local beers and searching for Insta-hot spots during his travels.
