  • They were blasted as ‘love rats’ after affairs with famous married men like Prince Charles, Bill Clinton, Tiger Woods and David Beckham – but bounced back
  • Some shot to stardom – Uchitel appeared on VH1’s Celebrity Rehab and HBO’s Tiger – while others, like Rebecca Loos, traded the spotlight for a simpler life

Love is a messy thing, even for us regular people. For celebrities, it can often descend into a scandal the whole world can’t help but watch – especially when infidelity enters the mix.

Superstar cheats and their “other women” are more often than not left with an irrevocably damaged image when things head south. Labels like “love rat” and “homewrecker” can linger over their heads for years, if not a lifetime. But perhaps, cynics might say, it was all worth it in the name of love, fame or fortune.

Here are six women who got involved with unavailable famous men – and ended up paying the price.

Rachel Uchitel

Rachel Uchitel met Tiger Woods working as a nightclub hostess while he was married to Elin Nordegren. Uchitel wasn’t the golfer’s only side squeeze, and in turn, neither was Woods her only gentleman with strings. In 2009, she had a fling with actor David Boreanaz during his wife’s pregnancy with their second child, and in 2020, she began a romance with married lawyer and father of three, Ed Batts.

Uchitel, 46, appeared on VH1’s Celebrity Rehab (reportedly earning around US$500,000), opened a children’s boutique named after her daughter, and is allegedly lavished with gifts and allowances from wealthy gentleman like Batts whom she met on sugar daddy website Seeking Arrangement. In 2021, she appeared on Tiger Woods HBO docuseries, Tiger, and joined Cameo to sell US$55 video messages to her admirers.

The former White House intern struggled to secure traditional employment following her affair with then-President Bill Clinton that took place when she was in her early twenties. So she designed a handbag line, hosted a dating show, released a book and did an exclusive TV interview with Barbara Walters – amassing about US$1 million in international rights. In 2005, she moved to London for a master’s degree and returned an anti-bullying activist and Vanity Fair contributor. Her Ted Talk, The Price of Shame, has over 11 million views.
