BTS’ 10 best collaborations – from Nicki Minaj and Halsey to Lil Nas X’s Grammy-killing Seoul Town Road remix
As speculation swirls about which A-listers might feature on the K-pop giant’s fourth Korean album ‘Map of the Soul: 7’ – dropping on February 21 – we take a look back at BTS’ 10 best international collabs to date
In the meantime, here are the BTS collaborations everyone should have on their playlists.
Waste It on Me – Steve Aoki x Jungkook and RM
BTS was tapped by their frequent collaborator Steve Aoki to join him in an electropop dance track from his 2018 album “Neon Future III”. While the boys weren’t featured in the music video, it was still a star-studded visual of Asian-American actors and artists lip-synching to BTS’ vocals – the perfect pop culture vehicle for representing Asian talent on the world stage.
Idol (Remix) – BTS x Nicki Minaj
Champion (Remix) – Fall Out Boy x RM
BTS frontman RM flexed his lyricism and flow on the remix of Fall Out Boy’s 2017 single, Champion, where he rapped about standing up and being a champion for others. What was once a rock track got infused with electronic-pop bravado to make a fight anthem for modern times.
Change – RM x Wale
This sleeper yet very socially relevant 2017 track had Wale rapping about racism, RM spitting verses about online bullying, and both artists speaking of how real change starts with one’s self.
A Brand New Day – BTS x Zara Larsson
