As speculation swirls about which A-listers might feature on the K-pop giant’s fourth Korean album ‘Map of the Soul: 7’ – dropping on February 21 – we take a look back at BTS’ 10 best international collabs to date

Everyone wants a piece of BTS, and it’s not just the fan Army. As we can see from the K-pop band’s collaboration with Lil Nas X at the Grammys this year, musical artists also want in on the action, with a raft of acts from different genres lining up for an opportunity to work with the buzz-generating Korean supergroup.
The result? Chart-topping songs and remixes that have fans singing and dancing all over the world. With BTS’ newest album “Map of the Soul: 7” dropping on February 21, speculations have been in overdrive about who might work with the septet next.

In the meantime, here are the BTS collaborations everyone should have on their playlists.

Waste It on Me – Steve Aoki x Jungkook and RM

BTS was tapped by their frequent collaborator Steve Aoki to join him in an electropop dance track from his 2018 album “Neon Future III”. While the boys weren’t featured in the music video, it was still a star-studded visual of Asian-American actors and artists lip-synching to BTS’ vocals – the perfect pop culture vehicle for representing Asian talent on the world stage.

Idol (Remix) – BTS x Nicki Minaj

The 2018 single Idol was already a banger. When Nicki Minaj joined in, it became an explosive hit. Its accompanying music video features a fantastical landscape of colours and outfits that best show off BTS’ precise choreography, inspiring the Army to do the moves themselves and start a viral dance challenge

Champion (Remix) – Fall Out Boy x RM

BTS frontman RM flexed his lyricism and flow on the remix of Fall Out Boy’s 2017 single, Champion, where he rapped about standing up and being a champion for others. What was once a rock track got infused with electronic-pop bravado to make a fight anthem for modern times.

Change – RM x Wale

This sleeper yet very socially relevant 2017 track had Wale rapping about racism, RM spitting verses about online bullying, and both artists speaking of how real change starts with one’s self.
