He attended an American university
Singh received his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University Bloomington in the United States, where he majored in creative writing with a minor in theatre. This schooling may in some way explain his smart book-taking in Bollywood. With more than 17 films since his debut in 2010, Singh has become one of the top paid actors in the industry. His movie career has also rewarded him with many accolades including three Filmfare Awards and a place on Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list since 2012.
He started out as a copywriter
Unlike many other Bollywood stars, Singh did not always know he would be an actor. He had a desire to find his place on the big screen from a young age; however, he was not convinced that it was a viable plan. For this reason, after university, he chose to become a copywriter for a company in the US. It was not until after he had done some copywriting for advertising firms that Singh decided to give acting a shot … and the rest, as they say, is history.
