With the debut of its Ultraspace sneakers and 1955 Horsebit shoulder bag, Gucci is taking centre stage on the runway and celebrities are smitten
Gucci is looking to the past to revive a new type of cool this year – and the brand is already a hit with big name celebrities.
A prime example is its new unisex Ultrapace sneakers which made its runway debut on the brand’s autumn/winter 2019-2020 fashion show. The sneakers, which caused a sensation, received an update for Gucci’s Cruise 2020 line, with new materials and colours.
The new Gucci 1955 Horsebit shoulder bag has also been a hit with celebrities, thanks to its simple yet powerful aesthetic. The bag, first seen on the runway for the Cruise 2020 show, is creative director Alessandro Michele’s ode to an archive piece that he revived for the modern age.
