Style Edit: Noble Panacea CEO Céline Talabaza on science, sustainability and women in STEM

The brand recently opened a flagship counter at Hong Kong’s Lane Crawford and launched the groundbreaking Absolute Peptide8 Night Serum

Style recently caught up with Céline Talabaza to talk science, sustainability and women in STEM.
What inspired the development of the new Absolute Peptide8 Night Serum, and what sets it apart from your previous products?

The development of our Chronobiology Sleep Mask, a hero product with visible results after just one or two weekly applications, and the success of our Absolute Intense Renewal Serum, which uses our OSMV technology for specific ingredient release, led us to consider how we could offer customers a product for daily use.
The result is the new Absolute Peptide8 Night Serum, a highly sophisticated product. It also uses OSMV technology, and is phased and synced with the body’s biorhythm, featuring a cocktail of eight peptides specifically designed to target the latest biomarker of ageing: the senescent cell.
Can you talk about your commitment to ingredient integrity and sustainability, including the recyclable packaging used in the new collection?

Firstly, we use only science-backed ingredients rigorously validated by our scientific team, avoiding fragrances, essential oils, PEGs [polyethylene glycols], silicones, parabens and hormonal disrupters to ensure purity and efficacy. Our formulas respect the 12 principles of green chemistry [a set of guidelines for designing chemical products and processes that reduce or eliminate the use and generation of hazardous substances]. Minimising waste and environmental impact is a core value championed by our founder, Nobel laureate Sir Fraser Stoddart. Our packaging is made from natural, biodegradable fibres designed for reuse with refillable doses, reducing waste, while our single-use doses preserve ingredient potency and hygiene. We also offer a free recycling programme for used doses.
