Growing up in Miami’s South Beach in the early 1990s, Paris-based Colombian designer Esteban Cortazar is a fashion prodigy – staging his first fashion show at the tender age of 13 – and became the creative director of Parisian couturier Emanuel Ungaro at the age of 23.

Now focusing on his own collection – he relaunched his brand in 2012 – Cortazar approaches fashion design with his unique style fusing Latin heritage and French craftsmanship. We caught up with the designer during his brief stay in Hong Kong to launch his new collection with JOYCE Hong Kong.
