Top 4 Red Carpet Trends of 2015

At the Met Gala, Kim Kardashian was spotted wearing Roberto Cavalli on the red carpet.  

No one wears vibrant colours as well as Lupita Nyong’o, who twirled and dazzled in a “grasshopper green” custom pleated Gucci chiffon gown matched with Chopard jewellery.

As one of the jury members at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, Sienna Miller led the red carpet in a midnight blue Lanvin gown with an asymmetric shoulder cut and an oversized bow detail.

Charlize Theron attended the “Mad Max: Fury Road” premiere at Cannes wearing a canary yellow strapless Dior Couture gown, complete with a glamorous train.


Jessica Hart rose to the occasion with her deep red chinoiserie-style velvet Valentino dress, with a high neckline and long sleeves.
Emily Blunt looked positively regal in an oriental-inspired Prada steel-blue duchesse gown embroidered with crystal and glass beads at the Met Gala.

Fan Bingbing demonstrates that chinoiserie works outside the Met Gala too, wowing the crowds at Cannes in a pastel pink, off-the-shoulder Ralph & Russo Couture gown embroidered with an 18th-century Chinese motif of spring blossoms.

Emily Blunt looked positively regal in an oriental-inspired Prada steel-blue duchesse gown embroidered with crystal and glass beads at the Met Gala.

Shunning the usual gowns once again, Diane Kruger turned up at the Met Gala in head-to-toe Chanel, wearing a silver top and sheer pants with a flowing pink sash tied round her waist. She finished off her look with a heart-shaped ruby-red clutch by Judith Leiber.  

One of the more refreshing looks at the Cannes opening ceremony is Karlie Kloss’ silver and white jumpsuit from Atelier Versace Couture.

Emma Stone looked confident and chic at the Golden Globes earlier this year, wearing a Lanvin jumpsuit. The “Birdman” star rounded off her look with Christian Louboutin shoes, a Lanvin clutch and Lorraine Schwartz earrings.

Naomi Watts stole the show on the first night of the Cannes Festival in a gunmetal grey Elie Saab number featuring a stone-embroidered bodice and a full feathered skirt with pockets.

Julianne Moore stuck to a dark colour palette on the red carpet, but her crystal and feathers embellished Armani Prive gown is anything but uninspired.
