‘We are different but we are real’: the Hong Kong couple offering alternative life coaching with a focus on LGBTQ community’s needs
- Neo Transformation Coaching was launched in Hong Kong by couple Betty Grisoni and Abby Lee. Open to all, it is particularly equipped to help the LGBTQ community
- In 2019, Grisoni had a health scare, shed 70kg and became an ultramarathoner. Overcoming challenges such as this, the pair say, has equipped them to help others

As active members of Hong Kong’s LGBTQ community, Betty Grisoni and Abby Lee Hui-yeng wanted to bring something different to the city’s personal development landscape.
Neo Transformation Coaching, a safe space in which to motivate those who find typical life coaching difficult to relate to, was born.
Launched in June, co-founders Grisoni, from France, and Singaporean Lee believe it provides a safe and inclusive space for all clients, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation, where each coaching programme is tailor-made according to the client’s personal needs and goals.
“However, the LGBTQ+ community may have unique coaching needs – whether it’s around coming out or support in exploring or affirming their gender or sexual identity. I think we are well equipped to provide support on these particular topics,” Grisoni says.

Grisoni and Lee, who are in a long-term relationship, believe they bring in different cultural nuances that make their service stand out from the rest.
