Italian social media's line is all cute and pop-culture - and uber-cool with it.

Who started it? With 4.3 million Instagram followers and a well-established fashion blog called The Blonde Salad, Chiara Ferragni has a big online presence. And the Italian is cleverly using that ever-growing cachet to tout the eponymous footwear line she founded in 2010. Ferragni’s label is all about the cute and kinky fripperies of her ultra-luxe life, which she spends gallivanting between fashion capitals and updating her social media accounts. But this is child’s play – the 28-year-old is also studying for a law degree.
Why we love it: the collection is what you’d get if Charlotte Olympia and Lulu Guinness joined forces: it features pretty pop-culture icons and emoticons, including lipsticks, smiley faces and heavily lashed cartoon eyes, on velvet slippers, glittered city trainers, jewel-encrusted hightops and strappy stilettos. They’re adorable and uber-cool all at once.
What we’d pick: this is as bad as Sophie’s Choice, but at a push we’d go for the glitterati trainers (above left; HK$2,590) and the red Flirting pumps (above right; HK$3,200).
Where can we get it: Chiara Ferragni is available at Harvey Nichols, Pacific Place, Admiralty.
