Mother's Day gifts from Dior; Fendi channels Italian actress Silvana Mangano

Dior Mum Mother's Day is around the corner and if you're looking to score some brownie points, head straight for Christian Dior. We've made it easy for you by picking out highlights. The La Mini D de Dior watch in pink gold (above centre; HK$172,000) and the gold, amethyst and emerald Précieuse earring with matching emerald stud (above right; HK$105,000) and ring (above left; HK$77,000), from the Diorama collection, are sure to please. Tough girls A striking black and white palette sets the tone for spring-summer at Givenchy, with corseted bodices, leather leggings and sheer camisoles blending the hard with the soft. We especially love the monochrome dresses, such as the white embroidered knit dress (above right; HK$121,200) and the black jersey dress in lace, satin and grosgrain (right; HK$32,500), worn with open-toe stitched boots in nappa leather (HK$23,900; both above left). Fendi has launched a capsule travel collection inspired by late Italian actress Silvana Mangano, who was a loyal customer. Jet-setters can pick and choose from a selection of two trolley cases, a large holdall and a lucky bag charm, all of which celebrate Mangano's innate beauty and elegance. Check out the leather trolley case (above right; HK$36,700) and Boston bag (above right; HK$29,100). A portion of the sales will go to Onlus, a non-profit foundation created by Mangano's daughter, Veronica De Laurentiis, to benefit victims of domestic violence.
