Founded by Ariane Prette Monaco in 1982, APM Monaco channels the joie de vivre of the south of France. The surprisingly affordable, not to mention prolific, brand releases a collection each month. The pieces fall under a particular theme and come in a variety of precious metals, from rose gold to gunmetal.

We love that APM Monaco has taken on the high street's fast-fashion challenge and we fall a little bit harder for its designs with each new range. The beautiful baubles, stackable rings, chandelier earrings, cuffs and collars, to name but a few designs, may be inspired by what's storming down the catwalks but they have classic elements, too, giving them a timeless edge. The brand offers a mid-range selection for those impulse buys and has a high jewellery line, in case you're feeling particularly indulgent.
we can't resist a chic ear cuff but hate looking like Guns N' Roses groupies. APM Monaco's clip-on version solves the problem. Try the filigree ear cuff in silver (above left; HK$920), from the Ensorcelée collection, for a more ladylike take on the trend. The signature cuff bracelets have us captivated, too. With a smattering of fine crystals embedded in geometric designs, these pretty pieces of arm candy are begging to be taken out on the town. Our favourite is the silver cuff (above right; HK$2,200) from the Croisette collection. Wear it with jeans and a T-shirt during the day and glam it up with a little black dress in the evening.
