HBO Asia announced that HBO GO will be available on Now TV before April, making it the first broadband streaming service in Asia. By subscribing to Now TV’s HBO Super Pak, viewers will be able to enjoy free access to the on-demand service, as well as being able to catch new episodes of original network shows just 12 hours after their US release. It's multi-facted and broadly supported, available on desktops, laptops, tablets as well as mobile phones operating on iOS and Android systems.

Speaking on the new launch, HBO Asia's CEO Jonathan Spink described Hong Kong as “a highly sophisticated market with a prevalence of high speed broadband network and mobile and tablet users,” making it the perfect environment for HBO GO.” Janice Lee, managing director of TV and New Media at PCCW, referred to the expansion as an example of HBO’s “commitment to the Hong Kong audience.”

Owned by Time Warner and Viacom, HBO Asia is a franchise of the US premium cable television giant. A leading 24-hour channel with a range of exclusive television shows, films and documentaries, HBO also produces programs catering to the family. HBO’s acclaimed series currently on air include “The Newsroom,” “Game of Thrones,” and “True Blood.”

A media preview on HBO GO will take place on February 25; stay tuned for an announcement regarding a confirmed launch date.
