Wan Chai Nightlife Awards
Ah, the return of a gimmick. It’s the Wan Chai Nightlife Awards! For those of you who don’t know, these are awards, which—like many HK film festivals—are not based on merit but rather how much the organizer likes you. Here are my top pics:

Best Club: Club 7-Eleven! Seriously, there are no clubs in Wan Chai. Go there to bar hop, watch cover bands play cover music, and dress in funny clothes. Try dressing up like pirates and boarding a Party Tram for ultimate the WC evening experience.
Best View: Wooloomooloo. Hands-down the best. Their vodka cocktails suck. Everything else is good
Best Irish Pub: Delaney’s the Irish Pub. I actually have no idea if there is another Irish Pub in Wan Chai but if there was I probably wouldn’t go. They have Guinness and if you have enough and scream “football sucks” you will get into an awesome fight.
Best Firehouse: The Wan Chai Fire Station. They actually put out fires unlike the bar the Firehouse, which only puts out your belief that horrible exploitation of women has stopped in the 21st century in Hong Kong.
Best Bar to See People Who Look Like Wizards: The Old China Hand. Lots of old men who like rugby and 2-3 Gandalfs on any given night
