Matteo Party has a huge stock of over 2,000 party costumes with styles ranging in size from infant to XL. Costume themes include super heroes, the 1950s, Hollywood movies and the usual sexy and scary get-ups, with prices ranging from $100 to more than $1000. You can also pick up face paints, wigs, hats, costume boots and character masks to make sure you stand out. Side note: One of the better websites to get ideas from but definitely stop by the shop to see what's in stock.

2. Remy Fashion

Remy has a large variety of costumes for sale, including traditional costumes from different cultures, signature 1920s, 1960s and 1970s dresses, disco blouses, Christmas costumes and more. A full time professional tailor is stationed at Remy’s to make alterations if the costumes don’t fit, and you can submit your own design to have it made into a costume too.

3. Pottinger Street

If you’ve ever had to wear any kind of fancy dress in Hong Kong, the likelihood is you’re familiar with Pottinger Street which really is a treasure island for party goers. There are wigs ($78-$150) in all sorts of funky colors, glasses (around $60), feather boas ($15-$20) and glittering hats ($48). You can also get a huge range of plastic masks including wolf, rabbit, avatar, clown and fox masks (around $50) and masquerade masks ($12-$35) as well as full costumes if you duck inside some of the stores. Shop owners are friendly and most prices are negotiable, especially if buying more than one of something.
