Best Mojitos

FINDS
FINDS is reacting against the average, contemporary blowtorched drink with a summer cocktail menu that revives such simple classics as the mojito. Yup - fresh, limey and a far cry from the syrupy mess at most bars. $90.
2/F, LKF Tower, 33 Wyndham St., Central, 2522-9318.

Havana
Not only do they serve what’s quite possibly the best classic mojito, this Cuban restaurant-bar also has some great, fresh twists like the Ginger mojito, with muddled ginger root and ginger ale; and the Luxury mojito, made with aged rum and champagne instead of plebian soda ($88). $72 for all others.
35 Elgin St., Central, 2545-9966.

La Bodega
Some days you want refreshment, other days you want oblivion. That’s when you go to La Bodega – their mojitos are a good handful of mint muddled with a very generous serving of rum and some splashes of lime. $46.
42 D'Aguilar St., Central, 2524-7790.

Bricolage62
The mojito probably evolved from the mint julep, the bourbon-based minty cocktail of plantation owners everywhere. And Bricolage62 does a great classic julep – strong bourbon, a few sprigs of mint and dash of sugar. Naturally, their mojitos are equally crisp and refreshing. $75.
62 Hollywood Rd., Central, 2542-1991.
