Flower and Food – Clearwater Bay
Highlights: The 100,000-square-foot BBQ site is perfect for kite-flying, and has lots of other stuff to do - rent a bike ($20 per hour), play table tennis ($30 per hour) or mahjong ($40 per hour). Flower and Food offers a variety of 20 different foods. Four-hour time limit; cash only.
Price: Adults $75-$98; children $55-$78. Free parking.

BBQ By the Beach – Tuen Mun
Highlights: It’s right on the beach, with mahjong ($30 all day), table tennis ($20 an hour), badminton ($20 an hour) or cycling ($10 per hour). There are even a few TVs in case a big game is on.
Price: Adult $68, child $40, with a $10 set-up fee.

Sky BBQ – Tuen Mun
Highlights: Bike rentals and mahjong ($30-$50 all day), and you can even fish in their goldfish pond ($10) and keep what you catch. Hm, forgot the fishballs?
Price: Adults $68, children and elderly $38. Includes bottle of water and one additional drink. No time limit.

Chin Yip BBQ – Tin Shui Wai
Highlights: The gigantic LCD monitor and billiard room. It’s also right next to the Hong Kong Wetland Park and the Ping Shan Heritage Trail.
Price: Adults $55-$65, children $45. Free Parking.

Tai Mei Tuk BBQ King – Tai Mei Tuk
Highlights: It’s right next to one of the few strawberry farms in Hong Kong so you can pick organic strawberries (approximately $40 per pound) while you wait for one of the barbecue site employees to set up your pit. There’s also a petting zoo for the kids.
Price: $50 per head with three people minimum. $120 per head for party of two. Free parking.

BBQ King – Sai Kung
Highlights: It’s right next to the beach with a water sports center and a bar next door. Because the BBQ buffet is also a restaurant, you can get a more variety in your food options, noodles, dim sum and fried rice.
