Three Bars with Pool Tables

Racks

This gritty, NYC-style pool hall is the cool, dim-lit hangout for models, fashionistas and the hipster clubbing crowd, slamming Jägermeister shots and sipping Racks Lemonade (a peach and Jack Daniel fusion). Unless you know somebody who’s somebody, forget about getting one of the five pool tables without a wait during the wee hours of the weekends. But did you know they actually open at noon on weekdays so you can come up for power pool (and a surprisingly serene view of the hills) during your lunch break? Kids back from uni can also take advantage of the free wireless internet access, so bring your laptops.
7/F, Wellington Place, 2-8 Wellington St., Central, 2868-3762.

Azure

With its high ceilings, marble walls and panoramic views of the city, Azure adds a touch of sophistication to the great game. The billiard table is situated in the lounge area along side comfy chairs, suede couches and a small yet impressive bar. Order their signature Liquid Gold (a martini-based mango drink) or the Belvedere IX Ice Tea and shoot away.

Ashtray

It might have been an ashtray before but we suspect the new smoking ban means this club/lounge is now an “ash-free” tray—which is slightly less catchy. If you’re not boozing it up at the bar or throwing some killer moves on the dance floor then head over to the lounge area and you’ll find the pool table. You can’t miss it among all that retro red and white shiny décor.
