AMBIENCE This cosy spot in the heart of Sheung Wan has just a few tables and high seats against the wall. It has a fresh feel, with white walls, and a large blackboard sits along one side of the restaurant listing the special offers. The ambience is inviting, and the staff are friendly and helpful.

COST Dishes range from HK$85 to HK$145 with sides at around HK$40 to HK$60.

WHO TO BRING Everyone will love the food here.

TURN-ONS The Mexican tofu and bean tacos were packed with kidney beans cooked with mixed bell peppers and onions, scrambled tofu, fresh salsa and guacamole served with a side of hot sauce. The portion is generous, with three tacos on the plate, and it was delicious. We also tried dal with brown rice and a vegetable mix that was more like a ratatouille, which proved to be another hit. We then went for a Beyond burger on a sourdough rye bun topped with vegan cheddar, Dijon mustard, tofu chipotle mayo, served with purple sauerkraut, rocket, sliced purple onion and tomato. The burger came with a side of tofu fries. There was a choice of desserts, including dark chocolate brownie with salted caramel ice cream.

TURN-OFFS I am not a fan of faux meat products and preferred the creativity and flavours of the dishes that were not pretending to be meat.
