crowded. Diners sit on backless stools at tables that are close together. But the ventilation is good, so we didn't end up smelling too much of our dinner.

they offer a few hotpot broths but the speciality is spicy chicken; after diners eat the meat, the servers add broth to dilute the sauce, which is used to poach raw ingredients. We tried a split pot that held spicy chicken (HK$98) on one side, and chicken broth with preserved vegetables and pig stomach (HK$118) on the other. We liked both: the spicy chicken was flavoured with a good variety of fresh and dried herbs and spices, while the chicken broth soothed our mouths.

Of the ingredients we tried, we liked the tender US beef (HK$118), the cubes of pork blood (HK$36), fatty goose intestines (HK$48), fish skin dumplings (HK$48) and pork and chive dumplings (HK$42).

The sponge-like frozen bean curd (HK$24) and delicate fried bean curd skin (HK$22) absorbed the flavours of the broth, while the fried fish skin (HK$36) needed just a quick dip, so it remained crunchy.
