Toybox: iPhone 5s wallet cases

This one-piece solid polycarbonate wallet from Otterbox (HK$249, hk.mobilefun.com) has a drawer in its undercarriage that slides in and out. Though it's fastened when closed and very secure, there's room for only three credit cards, which isn't much considering its bulk. However, since its toughness extends all the way around - and just above the plane of - an iPhone 5 or 5s, it has security covered. It even comes with a soft, silicon layer and a screen protector, and is also available for the Samsung Galaxy S4.

The most minimalist wallet case around, VaultSkin's brown or black leather Lexx (HK$433, vaultskin.com) was actually designed for the iPhone 5 but fits the most recent incarnation just as well. About seven credit cards can be inserted into a compartment behind a leather flap on the back that fastens using a magnet, and there's another slot for cash. There's little organisation and zero protection for the iPhone's front (use a separate screen protector), but the Lexx impresses.
