BTS are undeniably one of the biggest music acts of 2021, and Apple Music and Spotify data have confirmed it: this week, the two streaming giants revealed the South Korean septet were one of the most listened-to acts on their platforms.

On December 1, Apple Music confirmed BTS’ 2020 single Dynamite as the most streamed song of the year on its platform globally.
BTS’ Butter, released this year, was the 21st most streamed song of the year on the Apple music app, and both Dynamite and Butter were among 2021’s “most read lyrics”.
BTS, Blackpink and Twice were the most streamed K-pop artists worldwide on Apple Music. Seventeen and Stray Kids rounded out the top five, while Itzy, IU, Tomorrow X Together, NCT 127, and EXO completed the top 10.
Apple Music Hong Kong and Macau’s combined Top 100 list for 2021 was mostly full of Canto-pop artists. Terence Lam, Jace Chan and Mirror’s Edan Lui had the top songs overall. Other Mirror members were also on the list. Blackpink’s 2020 singles How You Like That and Lovesick Girls were the most popular K-pop songs in the two regions, and BTS’ Dynamite was also a major hit.
