Despite its intriguing start, Disney+’s action drama Blood Free quickly followed in the footsteps of other muddled Korean sci-fi tales, failing to capitalise on the promise of its premise as it turned into a familiar tale of corporate greed decorated with dreary action beats.

Han Hyo-joo (Moving) plays Yun Ja-yu, the brilliant head of BF (“Blood Free”), a corporation that has pioneered the production of cultured meat at the expense of traditional agriculture.
