In the latest round of K-drama casting reports, a hotly anticipated drama comes back to life with a new star circling the lead role and one of the webtoon industry’s most celebrated authors gets a new adaptation.
1. The Price of Confession
Recently seen in the hit romantic comedy drama Crash Course in Romance, Jeon Do-yeon may next be seen in The Price of Confession.
If the title already sounds familiar, that may be because the drama was originally set to star Song Hye-kyo and Han So-hee and be directed by Lee Eung-bok (Descendants of the Sun). However, following Lee’s exit and rumoured creative differences, the stars walked and the project was temporarily put on hold.
The story follows the tribulations of two women who find themselves involved in a grisly murder case.
Reportedly taking over the vacated director’s job is Lee Jung-hyo, who was responsible for the smash hit Crash Landing on You and this year’s Netflix romantic drama Doona!

Jeon will also soon feature in the film Revolver, alongside Ji Chang-wook and Lim Ji-yeon. The film reunites her with The Shameless director Oh Seung-wook.
