A government website by the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department that offers details on all official trails in the city. Maps are basic in either PDF or JPG format. Available in English and Chinese. There is also an app for mobile devices.

Walk On Hill
walkonhill.com
Probably the best site at the moment for hiking routes with a comprehensive database and attractive, user-friendly design. Detailed information and directions given for each route as well as a Google Map and photos. Available in Chinese and English. According to the posts, a man named Horace Y is behind this site.
Oasis Trek
oasistrek.com
Started in 2004, this visually appealing website offers a range of hiking routes across the territory. No maps are provided, only route descriptions in text and some general images. Available in English and Chinese.

Hike Hong Kong

A blog started in 2010 by Jean-Christophe Clement, who, after moving to Hong Kong from Canada, discovered the amazing trails but found little information on them. He aims to rectify this with his frequently updated website. No maps but very detailed route descriptions with photos. In English.

Started by a group of amateur hikers in 1997, the website is still being updated regularly and the group continues to have regular hikes on weekends. Active members include experts in various fields such as ecology, medical science, communications, computer science and management. Offers routes ranging from easy walks to stream trekking to caving. No maps but with detailed descriptions and photos. In English.

Founded in 2002, this site was started with the goal of bringing hikers together and show off Hong Kong’s trails. Contains a smaller database of routes compared to other sites but offers detailed descriptions with photos and GPS maps. In English.
