The buzz surrounding Tamura’s cheesecakes reached Hong Kong earlier this year. When its pop-up store at K11 Musea in Tsim Sha Tsui opened on March 2 – it closes on September 30 – there were long queues of people waiting for a taste, some who remembered enjoying the cheesecake in Japan.

On August 12, Tamura introduced a milk tea cheesecake exclusively for Hong Kong.

Tamura, who grew up in Tokyo, can still recall the cheesecakes his mother gave him on his birthdays as a child, including one with freshly made strawberry sauce.
