I’m pretty simple. I like a variety of foods depending on who I hang out with. Generally, I prefer surf over turf.

My favourite spots include Cuisine Cuisine (3/F, The Mira, 118 Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, tel: 2315 5222). From delicate dim sum to sumptuous broiled soup, the restaurant doesn’t disappoint me.

Treehouse (The Steps, H Code, 45 Pottinger Street, Central, tel: 3791 2277) is my go-to place for something light, healthy and tasty. It serves an eco-friendly, plant-based menu that is made from local and organic ingredients. While the burgers taste amazing, it’s the flatbreads that are the star of the show – so fluffy and soft. And the staff are very friendly and cheerful, making me feel like I’m hanging out with friends.

Before Covid-19, when I had overseas visitors, I took them to both great hotel restaurants as well as local authentic eateries. The former would include Amber (7/F, The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, 15 Queen’s Road Central, Central, tel: 2132 0066), Tosca di Angelo (102/F, The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong, ICC, 1 Austin Road West, Tsim Sha Tsui, tel: 2263 2270) and Man Wah (25/F, Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong, 5 Connaught Road Central, Central, tel: 2825 4003). Typically, they all serve great surf as well as turf.
