A new shop in Causeway Bay is sure to appeal to those who like Neapolitan pizzas. With an open kitchen facing Leighton Road, the pizzas are baked in a woodstone oven with open fire at a temperature of 380 degrees Celsius, resulting in a great crust.

There are eight choices of topping, and the pizzas come in two sizes – 13 inches or 18 inches. Five are sold by the slice. All have at least three kinds of cheese – the mild-flavoured and soft fior di latte, sticky mozzarella with subtle taste, and the strong and sharp grana padano.

We ordered the 13-inch vegetarian crazy cheese pizza (HK$168) with four kinds of cheeses, including fontina. The mixture of the cheeses was just right and not too heavy and they went well with the Italian San Marzano tomatoes.

We also ordered a single slice of rocketeer with olive oil (HK$45). The Italian tomatoes, slathered with cheese, were fresh and there was a generous amount of rocket, which made the pizza a healthy option.

Hawaiian coco (HK$40 for a slice) was another delight. The capicola pork was lean and the fresh pineapple and coconut accentuated the flavour of the cured meat.
