When Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman died of colon cancer in August 2020, the news blindsided Marvel fans around the world.
No community was hit harder than the tight-knit group who worked alongside him in creating one of the most popular and influential superhero films of all time.
Two years later, Marvel head Kevin Feige, director Ryan Coogler and the rest of the cast and crew have the daunting task of revisiting the world of Wakanda and continuing the story without their iconic leading man.

So who are the performers faced with this impossible challenge? We introduce the new and returning stars of Marvel’s latest action spectacular.
Letitia Wright as Shuri
The Guyanese-British actress honed her craft in British television shows such as Top Boy, Doctor Who and Black Mirror – for which she received an Emmy nomination – before landing the role of T’Challa’s younger sister.
