What does the Year of the Snake in 2025 have in store for those born in the Year of the Monkey (1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004, 2016)?
Lucky colour: red; lucky element: ruby; lucky number: 2
This is a year of good fortune and good career development for Monkeys, especially for the self-employed and business owners.

Business volume and income for Monkeys in industries dominated by women – think beauty, make-up, jewellery, maternity and child products, and clothing – will increase a lot.
Employees may get a pay rise, too.


However, there are inauspicious stars in the Monkey’s charts this year, which means the chances of messy entanglements because of money are high.
Monkeys should read the terms and conditions of documents carefully and pay extra attention to the details when it comes to finances. If necessary, seek professional help.
Thanks to another unlucky star, Monkeys are also prone to forgetting things or losing small items this year. Do not carry too much cash when travelling and buy decent travel insurance when going out of town.
Wealth and career
Those born in the Year of the Monkey will enjoy a lot of career development this year, especially those who are in women-related industries or who interact with female business partners.

This sign will be dominated by middle-aged female energy for the next 20 years, so the self-employed and businesspeople may wish to expand their female businesses or find female partners to work with.
Workers will be supported and appreciated by female superiors or bosses – but they must work actively to lay a solid foundation to get promotion opportunities.
However, as the Monkey sign clashes with tai sui, or the guardian deities, this year, expect obstacles in socialising and networking. They might find themselves in trouble for no reason, while disagreements among their colleagues or peers will result in increased work stress.
Be prepared for financial and contractual disputes. Working Monkeys should avoid switching jobs this year.
Love and relationships
With the help of an auspicious star, single men and women will be able to meet many potential love interests through their social circles, one of which may lead to a long-term relationship.
However, married Monkeys will be affected by a menacing star that will leave them prone to emotional changes.

They will often feel alone in their relationship thanks to insufficient communication, which will affect the connection they have with their partners.
They are advised to take the initiative to share their inner thoughts with their partner and to listen to them actively as well.
Health and home
While health will not be bad for Monkeys, their personal relationships will suffer because of their clashing with tai sui. They will be troubled by emotional burdens, which will make them feel bad, causing them to be overstressed, depressed and lose motivation.
Being under this long-term mental stress will affect their physical, mental and social health, so learning how to handle stress appropriately will be important to maintaining physical and mental health.
It is recommended to pick up regular exercise. Monkeys should also volunteer to help people in need or donate to trustworthy charities to balance out the negativity caused by the offended tai sui.
