Nintendo’s SNES Classic will come with 21 legendary games, from Super Mario World to Donkey Kong Country
Set to hit store shelves in September, Nintendo’s Super NES Classic Edition will once again see nostalgic gamers fighting to get their hands on some iconic hardware and software

The Japanese game maker behind a range of iconic international franchises will offer customers 21 titles (including the never-before-released shooter game Star Fox 2) in all with the mini Super NES Classic Edition, together with two controllers. The retro gaming console will cost US$80 and is expected to hit store shelves on September 29.

Nintendo’s announcement follows the release last year of the mini NES console, which has since been discontinued. During that console’s brief manufacturing run, consumer demand outstripped Nintendo’s ability to supply the consoles.
It’s old versus new, as Nintendo and Sony take different approaches with console releases
The SNES was one of the most popular gaming consoles of the 1990s and Nintendo is likely hoping to spark renewed consumer interest as eager, nostalgic gamers look to get their hands on classic Nintendo hardware.
