Will poor US economic data drive the Hong Kong stocks market on Friday, or will it be local concerns, such as the introduction of a face mask ban in the protest-hit special administrative region, that determine which way the markets go?
Add to the mix the prospect of an interest-rate cut by the US Federal Reserve towards the end of October, and we might have ourselves a roller-coaster ride.
