Tea WG operates 68 tea salons in 19 countries – of which 19 are located in mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan – and 28 online flagship stores.

It aims to add two new shops at the end of October, one at Hong Kong international airport and another in Causeway Bay, with further plans to open new stores in 2022.

“Hong Kong offers a strategic gateway to mainland China, specifically the Greater Bay Area and as a regional logistics hub. This is definitely beneficial for our digital, and bricks-and-mortar expansion in this region,” said Bouqdib.

The Greater Bay Area refers to Beijing’s scheme to link cities in southeast China into an integrated economic and business hub.

This month the company is celebrating it’s 10th anniversary with what it describes as an affordable, 10-piece tea collection it is hoping will catch the attention of younger consumers.
