DHL/SCMP Enterprising Hong Kong Awards to celebrate startups and SMEs

Hong Kong's most enterprising smaller companies are the focus of a new business awards programme unveiled yesterday by the .

The 2014 Enterprising Hong Kong Awards, sponsored by DHL Express Hong Kong, will recognise the outstanding achievements of start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises in the city.

SCMP Group's chief operating officer Elsie Cheung, speaking at a meeting of the judges, said the awards would "shine a light on companies' excellence".

A wide array of prizes is available for nominees and finalists. The winners will receive HK$10,000 worth of shipping credit from DHL and a special advertising rate from the , as well as a number of other rewards.

"We are very pleased to support the first-ever enterprise award in Hong Kong," said DHL Express Hong Kong vice-president Ecila Chan.

"[The awards] will recognise the outstanding achievements of SMEs and entrepreneurs in Hong Kong."
